Jura Mountains Fir Honey is not gathered from flowers, but from honeydew! This exceptional honey is produced from honeydew secreted by small insects feeding on fir needles. Bees harvest this honeydew during the summer months, creating a honey with exceptionally bold and unique aromas. The fir trees of the Jura Massif thrive in nutrient-rich mountain soils, yielding a pure and sought-after nectar source.

With its smooth, liquid texture, Jura Mountains Fir Honey pairs wonderfully with local Franche-Comté cheeses like Comté or Morbier, and adds character to creative mocktails, aperitifs, or marinades for red meats.

Like all our honeys, it has been harvested with care by our Cooperative’s beekeepers and underwent strict production and packaging processes, with certified 100% hive-to-jar traceability. Jura Mountains Fir Honey is certified Agri-Éthique French Fair Trade, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of honey while supporting producers and the French beekeeping sector.
