Our Ling Heather Honey received three Gold Medals at the prestigious French General Agricultural Competition (Concours Général Agricole) in 2019, 2020, and 2022, as well as the Excellence Award from the French Ministry of Agriculture—testament to its outstanding taste and the dedication of our Cooperative beekeepers.

🌿 Did you know?
Ling Heather (Calluna vulgaris) blooms late in the season, mainly from late summer to early autumn (August to September). Thriving in the acid, well-drained soils of Occitanie, its small bell-shaped pink-to-lavender flowers offer bees a crucial late-season nectar source when most other flowers have faded. Harvesting this honey is a delicate, highly technical process due to its natural thixotropic (jellified) texture.

With its atypical gel texture, Occitanie Ling Heather Honey can be enjoyed in many ways: directly by the spoonful, stirred into warm milk, or paired with regional cheeses such as Roquefort, Rocamadour, Laguiole, or local Occitan goat cheeses.

Like all our honeys, it has been harvested with care by our Cooperative’s beekeepers and underwent strict production and packaging processes, with certified 100% hive-to-jar traceability. Occitanie Ling Heather Honey is certified Agri-Éthique French Fair Trade, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of honey while supporting producers and the French beekeeping sector.
